A lack of emotional empathy, the ability to communicate,  and the courage to be honest and vulnerable.

It makes perfect sense.

It's all about the effects an addiction like this has on the brain, and about fear and shame.

That fear runs deep and creates avoidance, lying, hiding, belief systems that say you could never be accepted if you're honest.

Yet it's the lack of honesty that continues the shame cycles of hiding of his true self and inability to emotionally connect to his life partner.

As we begin to get the couple on the same side of this fight together, we teach them both about this addiction and it's impact on the brain.

We also teach them what it means to "become your own programmer", deciding what belief systems and automatic thoughts we want to keep, and which we want to get rid of. Then we show them the work it takes to do it.

We help them understand what it takes to reprogram the subconscious so they no longer have to fear the unwanted unfaithful thoughts that hurt their relationship and eventually lead back to relapse.

We teach them the necessary components to full mindset transformation, so they can take the unwanted impacts that pornography has had and be able to completely eliminate the pulls towards unfaithful behavior or the desire for anything outside the relationship.
